Anti-Trump Lawsuits Reveal Actual Conspiracy and ‘Racketeering’

By David J. Carey

It is past time to call out the real racketeering and the conspirators guilty of it.

Hundreds of Trump supporters remain in jail charged with “crimes,” initially including “insurrection” relating to the Jan. 6, 2021, demonstration at the Capitol building in Washington D.C. None of them has been convicted of insurrection, yet Trump has been charged with incitement to insurrection. Many of the January 6 Committee documents and records have been destroyed (along with exculpatory evidence no doubt). Further, many conservatives around the country have been harassed, intimidated, or even prosecuted by federal officials because they have expressed views contrary to progressive doctrine or hostile to the Democrat narrative, and the FBI has been surveilling Trump supporters as potential terrorists. Hillary Clinton has called for their formal “deprogramming” and called them a “cult.”

We have the spectacle of a former president and leading Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential election indicted on spurious charges by a county prosecutor in Georgia. This is on top of three other indictments in Florida, Washington, D.C, and New York. These indictments are for a total of 91 alleged felonies or misdemeanors, all of which are highly questionable. These charges are brought, in every instance, by Democratic prosecutors and, with the exception of Florida, in jurisdictions heavily populated by Democrats where there is precious little chance of a fair trial for President Trump and/or his alleged “co-conspirators.”

In all these cases, the prosecutors have requested and the liberal judges have granted court appearances and trial dates that would preclude President Trump from effectively conducting his election campaign. It appears that the prosecutors involved, the judges and the Justice Department have coordinated closely with one another to sabotage Trump’s campaign even if he is not convicted of a single count before the election. Is this not unlawful election interference? Is this not a conspiracy? The House Judiciary Committee is investigating and is being stonewalled at every turn.

The Fulton County, Georgia, indictment charges Trump with conspiracy and with racketeering for questioning the results of the 2020 election, seeking redress of wrongs and correction of any fraud in ballot counting. He had every legal right to do so. Further, Democrats, including Hillary Clinton, Al Gore and Stacey Abrams, have done precisely that in prior elections without being prosecuted for it.

It should be clear to any fair-minded citizen that, if there is “conspiracy” and “racketeering” here, it is being committed by the prosecutors who have brought these indictments, their staffs of lawyers, the Justice Department, January 6 Committee members and likely some members of the White House staff. They should all be indicted for conspiracy and racketeering, for their behavior meets the tests for determining guilt as argued by the Fulton County prosecutor in her indictments of Trump and his alleged co-conspirators. A just country would hold them accountable. Yet all of this appears to have the blessing of the Biden administration, the DNC, a complicit media and a majority of Democrats. The path they are on is destructive to the rule of law, constitutional governments, our liberties and our republic.
